The Proposal at Victory Greenhills, Music Museum

Originally I was planning on popping the big question during the annual big event of my former company, Level Up Games. Every year we’d have this major event at the World Trade Center and there would be around 20,000 people at the venue. However I realized that Mich would probably appreciate something more personal and meaningful. That’s when the idea of having the proposal at church came in. I consulted with Pastor Dennis Sy and fortunately for me he agreed to the idea.

I wanted to propose in church because this community has proven to be the biggest positive influencer in our relationship. Mich and I almost called it quits before and it’s amazing how God used various people in the church to bless us and remind the both of us that we needed to put God in our relationship if we want it to work.

The Plan
The plan was pretty simple. I was going to speak to introduce the Victory Greenhills website. After I do that, we’d play a video on the giant screen and I would go backstage and change into my coat and tie. I’d go out, deliver a short speech, walk up to Mich, and then propose. If she said yes, we’d have dinner at the Winery after followed by a simple engagement party at the Victory Center in Promenade.

With God’s grace, the plan went on smoothly. :)

There were some bumps along the way but nothing major. For those who don’t know, I sprained my ankle when I was kneeling down to give my proposal. I also almost lost the ring like 3 times during that day. Hahaha! Talk about panic and anxiety attacks!

Here’s the full proposal caught on video by our good friend, Dr. Bu Buenazedacruz.

Thanks to everyone who helped in making the proposal come to life! You guys know who you are! Cheers!
